This restaurant is truly a hidden gem offering authentic French-Vietnamese cuisine. I wasn't aware of the French influence in Vietnamese food until we dined here, but now I get it--and it's delicious! Everything we tried was incredibly fresh and flavorful. This place will definitely be added to our regular rotation. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and the owners are so warm and personable. They even struck up a fun conversation with us and made my daughter feel right at home--she loved the food too! While there are many Asian restaurants in the area, this one stands out for its unique menu and above-average flavors. Plus, the vibe is great with some upbeat Korean music playing in the background. “ Had high expectations after visiting the Flushing location - especially looking forward to the French fries provenzal - and I'm so glad to say now I have a closer location! I tried the banh mi - super crunchy baguette and generous amount of meat and daikon-carrot salad (and cilantro). The mayo based sauce was a lot more watery in consistency which made the sandwich a bit messy. ”
“ It was a late evening and we were on the hunt for a restaurant that was still open. It came down to a place that served soup dumplings and Vietnamese food. Vietnamese won. There were still a few diners when we arrived. We order the BBQ pork with rice and BBQ chicken with vermicelli. They were delicious! The BBQ pork was delightfully unexpected. It looked more like bulgogi but just as good. It is a cute little place. Service is friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend! ”
“ After a recent let down from my go-to place for Pho, I decided to check out a more recent addition to the Fort Lee restaurant scene, Pho Che. Ordered a bowl of Pho to go. Portion was fresh, generous, and well-presented. Still not the broth flavor and aroma I am used to, and am hoping to find again, but certainly tasty. Would order again from Pho Che! ”
“ There are so many pho places around this area, so this place doesn't necessarily stand out to me. However, it was good so I'm not opposed to going again :) The only con is that parking can be hard to find (only paid street parking, although I think it's free after 6PM?). I wasn't feeling pho that day so I ended up getting the bbq beef banh mi, and it was pretty good and filling for the price. I also got a small side bowl of beef soup which is basically just the pho broth. On the menu (under the "Extra" section), the side of soup is $5, but I think we were only charged $3? I think there's two sizes of side soup but they only advertise the larger size on the menu. When I was ordering, my server did ask if I wanted the large or small and I said small. It was a good size for what I wanted, so if you don't want to pay $5 for a big bowl, try to ask if you can get the smaller size :) The food came relatively fast and the portion sizes were great. The vibes were casual and it's a good place to meet up with friends. ”
“ I like the option to choose raw noodles for takeout. When I get home, I heat up the soup and put in the noodles for a minute for Al dente noodles. The other parts of the pho (vegetables, bean sprouts, lime, basil, tofu, etc. are separate so you add what you want). Healthy and delicious! ”
